The Vision Committee engaged in a series of meetings, where members came up with: a vision, challenges and dilemmas that could get in the way of achieving that vision, and questions for the working groups to consider.  After doing this work the Vision Committee determined that it would be useful to establish three main working groups—engaging community stakeholders, infrastructure, and programs.  It was felt that focusing on these three key areas would encompass all relevant and necessary components for the final long-range plan.

The goal in creating the working groups was to ensure necessary expertise for each area while keeping the groups a manageable size to facilitate.  We received far more nominees than we were able to use for the working groups.  Many of those nominees were submitted without contact information, or with incorrect contact information.  We are making every effort to contact everyone who was nominated to thank them for their willingness to serve; and due to lack of contact information may miss contacting someone.  For that we apologize.
