Community Outreach:

While Community Forums are the heart of this facilitated planning initiative, community members will have multiple ways to:

  • Understand the process and where the community, Vision Committee, and Working Groups are in the process at any given point;

  • Read through the Community Forum Reports;

  • Offer input; and

  • Track the progress of the Planning Document.

This website is our main tool for communicating with the community.  Please continue to check out the site to download work product from the Vision Committee and Working Group meetings, as well as reports from Community Forums.

The more people who know about this initiative, the greater the input will reflect this community!  We are continually looking for ways to reach out to the community, and welcome your assistance.  Do you have meetings you would like us to attend?  Are there good locations for Community Forums that you would like us to consider?  Please don’t hesitate to contact us, emailing us at: greatschoolstogether@champaignschools.org.  Simply put the topic of your comment (e.g. “community forum location,” “outreach idea”) in the subject line of your email.

Getting the word out is all of our responsibility! We urge everyone to tell as many people as they can about this initiative. The more we all talk about it, the more other people will hear about it, and the more likely it is that more and more people in our community will be involved with it—resulting in our goal to have this be a true community driven process.
