A Little About Myself

Thank you for visiting my web page.  I am very excited to be making a web page for the first time!  I love to write and narrative essays are my favorite.  I think I have such an interesting life and I love to share it with people.  I am an 8th grader at Jefferson Middle School.  When I an not in school, I love to read and write, and swim.  I belong to two swim clubs, and hope to dive in high school.  I also like to ride horses.  I live in the country and have three horses, two dogs, six cats, and one goat.  My favorite subject in middle school is reading.

My Narrative Essay

"Watch out!  Racer is going down!"  That was the last thing I heard before blacking out.  The next thing I remember I am in an ambulance being transported to what I assume is the hospital.  There are people all around me and it takes me a while to make out who anyone is because I everything I see is so blurry.  I just remember thinking, "Racer could not have bucked me off, he is such a calm horse."

My Persuasive Essay

Should Students Have a Dress Code?

I do not feel as though students should have a dress code at school.  School is a time for students to represent themselves and what they like and enjoy.  Having a dress code would just eliminate that.

Color Poem

If happy were a color,
It would be blue.
As blue as a sky on a sunny day.

If happy were a taste,
It would be as sweet as honey melting in your mouth.

If happy were a feeling,
It would be exciting as your first step must have been.

If happy were a smell,
It would be as wonderful as brownies baking in the oven.

If happy were a sound,
It would be as soft as tinkling keys on a piano.

Haiku

The fresh lillies bloom
In colors of red and pink.
They are so pretty.

Cinquain Poem

Snowman
Chubby, cheerful
Waiting, grinning, winking
Icy weather keeps him smiling
Frosty

One of my favorite poems:

Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening
By Robert Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
And miles to go before I sleep.
