Opening your web page:
To begin your
web page, open the
My Learning
Style template. Once the template is open in Internet Explorer,
find the FrontPage icon on the toolbar.
(It is a box with a gray arrow inside) Click on the icon and
the template will be opened in FrontPage. This template
can also be found in your folder on the H drive. You will now be
allowed to make changes.

Inserting a picture.
You may search the web for a picture
(with your teacher's permission). In order to insert the
picture, click in the box where you would like the picture
inserted. On the tool bar, click on "Insert." Scroll down to
picture. You have a choice to insert a picture from clip art or
a file. For instructions on how to find and insert pictures
from the web, click here. Once you
have your picture inserted, you may change the size by clicking
on one of the boxes in the corners of the picture and clicking
and dragging until it is the right size. Other options for this
space could include a quote, etc.

Changing colors in your web page
You will be allowed to change some of the
colors of your webpage. You can change the color of the book
mark section of the webpage, the title color and heading colors
(bookmarks), and the background. The rest of your
information should stay black, and size 10 Arial font. This
is so it is easily readable. As much as you would like to spice
up your website, keeping it simple is the best policy when
creating web pages. Too much is not necessarily good in this
case.

some examples of backgrounds, font colors, and color
combinations.

font to whatever you would like. These changes can be applied
to the bookmark section, and any titles and headings on your
