Bill Hobbs (1981)

Placed at state in two sports, starring in swimming and golf.  Finished second in the 50-yard freestyle in 1981, one of five top-10 state placings.  Currently ranked third in 50 free and fifth in 100 free on the school records list.  Finished as high as fourth in the state golf meet, winning Big 12 medalist honors as a freshman and a junior.  Received the Seeley Johnston Award as outstanding male athlete in 1981.  Swam for four years at Miami (Ohio).  Lives in Champaign.
