Janie Reed (1998)

As a freshmen at the Big 12 conference meet, Reed finished 1^st in four different events. She was honorable mention All-state for three years and as a senior was All State and All-American selection. As a senior, Reed went undefeated in all individual events until the state meet. Won three varsity swimming letters at the University of Kentucky. She won another at the University of Texas. Freshmen of the year award at Kentucky. 1998, 3^rd place Medley Relay SEC’s. Member of Big 12 Championship team at Texas. Senior national qualifier in 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 200 IM, 400 IM.
