1992:  3rd Place in State in the 800 meter run

Jason Sempsrott (1993)

Earned 12 varsity letters in four sports and is best known for his cross-country and basketball accomplishments.  Won the 1991 Twin City meet and later placed 15^th at state.  In track, Sempsrott placed third at state in the 800-meter run, and he clocked a best time of 1:55.8.  As a senior, he was a News-Gazette All-Area and All-Big 12 pick in basketball, finishing third on Central’s all-time scoring list.  Received the Seely Johnston outstanding male athlete award in 1993 and later played basketball at South Dakota State.  Lives in Saratoga Springs, NY.
