2008 – Coach Larry Becker. the girls team got off to a tough start, losing their first two dual meets. They were able to bounce back from these losses when they got fifth place at the Rochester Invite. the maroons got their first win of the season when they defeated Mattoon. As the season went on, the girls improved and ended with a a season record of 7-8. Central was playing very well at tournament time, and proved they were ready when Carissa Hoyne helped the team finish 4th at the Big 12 Tournament. Kathryn Ikenberry and Carissa Hoyne both played great at regionals, and advanced to sectionals.
2007 – Coach Larry Becker. The 2007 girls golf season was a rebuilding season. Some of the good things that came from this season was placing 7th in the Regional and Carissa Hoyne making it to sectionals.
2006 – Coach Larry Becker. The 2006 girls golf team also had an outstanding season. The team was led by seniors Lana Holm, Cat Calcagno, Lauren Svymbersky, and Brooke McMahon. Junior, Allie Chouinard and sophomore, Carissa Hoyne were also key players in this year's season, always playing constantly well. Highlights if the season were placing 3rd in the Big 12 conference and putting a hard effort at Sectionals. Allie Chouinard placed 10th at the Conference.
2005 – Coach Larry Becker. The 2005 girls golf team did well this year. The team was led by lone senior Jamie D'Urso, who was the most consistent golfer on the team. Jamie and the many other great golfers were able to end the season with a record of 7-7. This was the best record in four years. In addition to that, the team was also able to achieve their lowest team score in four years at a meet in Normal, where they finished in 2nd place. With a 6th place finish in the conference, the girls look to improve for next year.
2004 – (1-5/6-11) Coach Larry Becker. Christina Palmer, Lanna Bartko, and Jessie Bush the trio of seniors led the Maroons this season. The team that only consisted of only 7 players, beat Bloomington Raiders by 40 strokes, the MVP was Christina Palmer.
2003 – (4-9 / 1-5) Coach Larry Becker. The girls’ golf team had a decent season. Although the team was small, it was not to be underestimated. The team was led this year by senior Samantha Parkhill. The season had some ups and downs, but the team earned a record of 4-9 and 1-5 in Conference. With the talent they had, the girls placed 6th in the Big 12. Samantha Parkhill continued on to State and tied for 35th place.
2002 – Coach Becker. The girls’ golf team also had a good season. They placed 3rd at Conference, 7th at the Charger Invitational, and 2nd in the Regionals where Whitney Byrd placed seventh and Samantha Parkhill placed eighth. As a team, they qualified for Sectionals, and Samantha Parkhill went on to compete at the State Finals. With many JV golfers stepping up this season, the girls’ golf team has high hopes for next year.

2001 – Coach Brian McAndrew. MVP: Samantha Parkhill. Most Improved: Emily Fletcher. The 2001 season was one of much improvement. Samantha Parkhill, the 2001 MVP, led the way for Central and at the Big 12 Tournament, the sophomore missed medalist honors by one stroke with a 91. At Regionals, Central advanced to Sectionals for the 2nd straight year. The Lady Maroons finished 2nd overall with a 93 from Whitney Byrd.
2000 – Coach Kyle Ransom. MVP: Libby Larson. Most Improved: Samantha Parkhill. The 2000 golf season was a challenge for the Maroons. First year coach, Kyle Ransom, turned to Libby Larson to lead the way. At the Big 12 golf tournament, the team finished with a team score of 434 which was good enough for 5th. At Big 12, Libby Larson finished strong for the Lady Maroons with a 98. Larson’s score was good enough for 8th place in the conference. The team picked up the pace for Regionals and came in second place behind cross town rival Centennial with a 422. At Sectionals they missed advancing to state by one place.
1999 – (3-9) Coach Anne Staab. Captains: Mary Ratcliffe and Erin Byrd. The 1999 season for Central’s lady golfers was full of adventure and good times. The Maroons concentrated on improving their scores each match. The team was very competitive with a number of girls of about the same ability level. This year’s team was led by captains Mary Ratcliffe and Erin Byrd who consistently performed well. Next years’ success seems assured with many key players returning including: Libby Larson, Sara Judy, and Whitney Byrd.
1998 – (6-2) Coach Anne Staab. MVP: Erin Byrd. Betsy Holder placed 1st at Big 12 Conference, and Regionals, and 4th at Sectionals. The team won 5th place at Big 12 Conference, 4th place at Regionals and 5th place at Sectionals.
1997 – Coach Anne Staab. Captains: Betsy Holder and Jayne Phillippe. The team started out slow with three early losses, but came on strong by finishing with six wins. The ’97 team placed second at Conference Meet, 3rd at Regionals, and 7th at Sectionals. The team defeated six different opponents this year. Betsy Holder finished in 2nd place in the Big 12 Conference Meet, 3rd at Regionals, and 7th at the Sectional Meet.
1996 – (8-4)

MVP: Betsy Holder. Most Improved Player: Jennifer Tobias. Best
Sportsmanship: Jayne Phillippe. Betsy
Holder placed at the Big 12 Conference Meet.
Jayne Phillippe and Jennifer Tobias also made great strides in their
golf game over the course of the season.
The golf team established an impressive record, compiling eight wins to
only four losses. The team placed 3rd
at the Big 12 Conference Championship, beating both Eisenhower and

1993 – Coach Fred Schooley. Junior Lindsey Grumish had a very impressive season had a very impressive season only missing the girls’ state competition by two strokes. There are high hopes for next year’s team, but the loss of Coach Fred Schooley is going to hurt. He has been the golf coach for a number of years and all of his experience is going to be lost.
