Losing Pitcher - Anderson (6-3)

Game Day Recap

Central was defeated by Danville 10-0 in 5 innings Monday to conclude their season. The Regional quarterfinal was played at historic Danville Stadium. The hosts struck for three runs off starter Braden Anderson (6-3) and never looked back. Senior Blake Janesky continued his dominance over the Maroons as he beat Central for the 5th time in his career. Despite a 45 minute weather delay in the bottom of the 2nd inning, Janesky allowed only 3 hits in the contest. Danville pounded 10 hits and the Maroons committed 6 errors in the regional tilt. Clint Miller, Tony Giammaria, and Kurtis Brown rapped hits for the guests, Brown's being a double. The Maroons finish the campaign with a 19-17 mark. Seniors Braden Anderson, Riley Brunson, Jeremy Coleman, Harrison Freeland, Tony Giammaria, Luke Kriegel, Doug Kyrouac, Theo McFarland, Tim Frye, Kollin Marquardt, Clint Miller, Evan Slazinik, and Tyler Tester depart...they will be missed.
