The mathematics program of Champaign Central High School shall ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to become mathematically literate and capable of extending their learning to become informed citizens in a technological society.
Mathematically literate students are exposed throughout their school career to problem solving, reasoning, and communicating mathematically. An appropriate mathematics curriculum incorporates manipulative, cooperative learning groups, technology, and processes of inquiry to foster students confidence their mathematical abilities.
All students have the right to learn significant mathematical and develop power over mathematical ideas; thus, students shall be provided access to the full range of mathematical topics.

The Unit 4 high school World Languages Department offers five levels of Spanish, French and German because many students complete year 1 in the middle school. It is recommended that students receive a “C” or better in the previous course before continuing to the next. Students preparing for entry into a college or university are encouraged to take a world language, but it is not a graduation requirement in the state of Illinois. The first two years of world language are Academic courses and the following three years are Honors courses. At both high schools the fifth year includes Advanced Placement content.

In the instrumental music program, musical literature will include intermediate concert band literature from various periods of music history. Students are required to participate in all concert band activities. Students in concert band will recieve training in music reading and performance techniques.

Actual activity offerings vary by high school due to facility differences. The curriculum meets the national, state, and district goals.
