Borrowing Privileges, Returns, Overdues, & Lost Materials Borrowing Privileges
All students, staff, and family members are allowed to check out materials
from the library. Student check out is for one week and items can usually
be renewed for an additional week.
Returns
Materials should be returned to the library by their due date. All
borrowers are responsible for the materials checked out in their name. Overdues
Fines are not assessed on overdue materials but students may not check out
materials until all overdue materials are returned.
Lost Materials
Borrowers are responsible for the materials that they check out from the
library. If books are damaged or lost, the items need to be paid for. If a
lost book is later found, we will refund your money.
Volunteers are
vital to the Carrie Busey Library program. Adult
volunteers may perform a variety of tasks, which depend
each volunteer’s interests and time available. Some activities such as
book shelving and repair are ongoing, while other tasks, such as helping with
book fairs and inventory occur once or twice a year. Please contact Mrs.
Fox or Ms. Cahill if you are interested in volunteer opportunities at Carrie
Busey Library.
Donations Book donations are always
appreciated at Carrie Busey Library. Books donated may be added to the
library collection, given to teachers for classroom collections, or
distributed to students via our “free” book cart.
