Kenwood is dedicated to guiding the development of our children to their fullest academic potential, as well as assisting them in becoming life-long independent learners and productive members of society. Severe Weather Information: In response to questions concerning reduced bus services, we are providing the following information. This is for information purposes only. The official winter weather closing decisions will be posted on the district website. · ANNOUNCEMENT ‘A’ – REDUCED YELLOW BUS SERVICES – On days when it is warranted, a plan for reduced transportation services formulated to operate on a limited basis when bad weather prevails shall be put into effect. [Day] the Champaign Unit 4 School District will have reduced bus services. There will be no yellow school buses operating morning or afternoon for elementary or secondary students living the areas listed immediately below, followed by where the yellow school buses will operate. No Bus Service Area: Bondville Any Rural Address Hartwell & Hartwell (by U of I golf course) Field Stone – Savoy Liberty on the Lake The City of Champaign proper and these subdivisions DO have bus service:

7:40 a.m. First bell-Students may enter building

7:50 a.m. Late bell-School day begins (announcements)

11:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. Kindergarten & 3rd grade lunch

11:25 a.m. - 11:55 a.m. 1st & 4th grade lunch

11:50 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. 2nd & 5th grade lunch

2:05 p.m. Dismissal

2:15 p.m. Building cleared of all students except those involved in extra-curricular activities.

Tidy Up Tuesdays:
The Kenwood Student Council wants to encourage all staff, students, and parents to come help tidy up the courtyard gardens on the first Tuesday of each month. We are very fortunate to have two courtyard gardens, and we want to keep the grounds looking nice. Please offer your support by lending us a hand. The 2009 - 2010 Tidy Up Tuesday dates are:

July 28th 3- 5pm	April 13th 4 -6pm
August 4th 4 -6pm	May 4th 4 -6pm
September 1st 4 -6pm	June 1st 4 -6pm
