alternatives for students. We partner
with the Champaign Urbana Mass Transit
Department (MTD) to provide transportation for
junior high and high school students. If you know of ways this
department can better serve our community, please

Recent News:
We would like to
congratulate Steve Rousey who has been appointed our new
Director of Transportation. We will be posting a
picture and comment from he as soon as possible.
In the meantime feel free to contact him at
rouseyst@champaignschools.org.
We would also like to
introduce our new Third Party Tester/Driver Trainer Mike
Pyle. Please feel free to contact him for any
questions or concerns about safety or safety materials
you maybe interested in obtaining. Mike is also
the gentleman you want to contact if you are interested
in becoming a member of the first line of education. You
may contact Mike at
pylemi@champaignschools.org.
As the school year
progresses we maybe having some new faces at
the transportation department. Please take time out of you busy
schedule and introduce yourself and child to the bus
driver. This will help the driver to know who is
at what stop for whom. Also if there is any
special information we made need to know about your
child please let us know (medical concerns, etc.).
This will help ensure the safety of you child and others
around him or her.
Updated bus routes schedules:
All bus route information is
up to date as of Thursday, August 14, 2008. Please be at the bus stop
10 prior to bus arrival time. Please remember the
first few days of school are the hardest and buses maybe
running a bit behind. If you have any
questions or concerns about your student's bus stop
please call the Transportation Department at
217-351-3993.

Activity /Field Trip
Bus Requests
Employees requesting the use of District
vehicles for Activity Trips and Field trips are now able
to send there request via e-mail. Please fill out
form, attach, and e-mail to
goinesch@champaignschools.org
Also
please e-mail any changes to your field trip request to
the same e-mail address.

Student Transportation Request
If you are a parent and have
moved or changed schools or have a special request for
student transportation, please call your child's school
so a Student Transportation Request can be completed.
We will not except change of address forms from parents;
parents need to contact their child's school to change
address.
