Kenwood Teachers Work with Etoys

Fri, 2013-07-12 12:48

This week, teachers from Kenwood Elementary School and a handful of other schools around the District met at the Siebel Center for Computer Science to work with the University of Illinois Office for Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education (MSTE) and Illini For Kids to learn the Etoys computer programming system. Kenwood will be the first elementary school in the district to start using Etoys school-wide this year. The training culminated in a presentation from teachers on programs they developed to teach students programming skills and enrich their lesson plans in all subject areas.
