Two Centennial Track Athletes Qualify For State

Two members of the Centennial boys track team will be competing at the state meet next weekend in Charleston, IL.

Henoc Mondika qualified in the 400 meter dash. Henoc and his family moved to Champaign from the Congo in September of 2015. He didnt speak any English and had never been part of any organized sport. Henoc is such a hard-worker and is so very deserving of the opportunity to compete among the state's best.

One last Aldridge show! Get your tickets for CALLBACKS and experience this walk down memory lane.

The Centennial High School's drama program is putting on a reunion show, a benefit for Clif Rocks!. The Clif Rocks! foundation, started by the Aldridge Family and set up after Clif Aldridge passed away, provides scholarships for two CHS students, ISU students and young adults who are battling cancer and are in need. Our goal for this final show is to raise about $20,000 so that it will push the foundation over the $100,000 mark making it so that it will go on forever.

Archery Teams Around Illinois Honor #livelikeluke

Archery teams from around Illinois honored the #livelikeluke slogan at the Illinois State Archery Tournament this past weekend by trading in their own school colors for Centennial High School’s navy blue, Columbia blue, and white in honor of Luke Miller. Luke, whose recent passing stunned family, friends and teammates, was an active member on Centennial’s Archery Team, which won the Illinois State Archery Tournament this past weekend in Springfield, IL.

Centennial Charger Justin Cardani Wins IHSA Wrestling Championship

Justin Cardani, a Junior at Centennial High School, recently became the first wrestler to win an individual IHSA state championship in the school's history. On the season, Justin finished with a record of 45-0 while competing in the 106-pound weight class. Justin capped off the undefeated season with a 5-2 decision over his opponent from Lemont in the championship match at the State Farm Center. This was Justin's second trip to the IHSA State Finals; he advanced as a sophomore as well.
