Central High School's Interact Club to Host International Fair

On Tuesday, April 18th from 6-8 pm in Champaign Central High School's Gymnasium, Central's Interact Club will be hosting its annual International Fair. The purpose of this event is for students, staff, and community members to set up booths that represent countries and cultures that they are a part of or are interested in. The overall goal is to broaden our perspectives and understandings of those from around the world as a means to develop and strengthen our relationships with each other. 

Unit 4 Archery Teams Excel in State Tournament

This weekend, teams from Unit 4’s Jefferson Middle School, along with Central and Centennial High Schools, competed at the National Archery in the Schools Program State Championship Tournament in Springfield, IL.

The Centennial High School Archery team won the state tournament with 3366 points. This is the team’s second state tournament in four years of the program. The Champaign Central High School Archery team competed and came in fourth place overall with 3321.

Unit 4 Future Business Leaders of America Place at State Conference

Congratulations to the Future Business Leaders of America club at Central High School.
FBLA members competed at the State Conference held on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25 in Springfield, IL. The team is sponsored by Central High School Career Technology Education teacher Eric Fagerlin.

Career Realism Day - November 9

On Wednesday, November 9, high school freshmen and sophomores from Champaign and Urbana will take part in a Career Realism Day, made possible by a collaborative grant from the Champaign Urbana Schools Foundation. As part of the visit, students will learn about the various Career and Technical Education Programs at Parkland and tour a number of local businesses including: 

Early Heat Dismissals at Central High School 9/6 and 9/7

Due to the forecast heat index, Champaign Central High School will dismiss at 1:05 p.m. today, Tuesday, September 6 and tomorrow, Wednesday, September 7, 2016.  Buses will be available to take students home.  Due to the forecast heat index, athletic and band practice schedules must follow high-heat guidelines, as well.  Coaches and directors will communicate with participants about any changes to their schedules.  There will be no outside marching band practice during the school day.
