Board Selects Ileana Saveley to fill Vacancy

The Champaign Unit 4 Board of Education has selected Ileana Saveley to fill the vacancy created by the recent death of Board of Education member Greg Novak. The candidate filling this vacancy will complete Mr. Novak’s term which expires in April of 2013. The Board was required to fill the seat within 45 days of the vacancy, according to board policy,


The Board interviewed eight candidates in open session at the meeting on Monday, April 16, 2012, and then deliberated in closed session. The Board voted unanimously in open session to select Ms. Saveley.
