The Choice Committee meets to review various aspects of the Choice process including but not limited to the registration process, student assignments criteria, transfer requests, and marketing strategies. The Committee may discuss both procedural and policy changes as a part of the work of this task force.
Acts in an advisory capacity to reduce unwarranted racial disparities in the area of school discipline and revises the upcoming year's Student Code of Conduct.
The purpose of EEE is to review and discuss the following equity areas, including data disaggregated by race/ethnicity and SES: academic progress of regular education, special education, gifted, AP/Honors, Novak Academy and alternative students; attendance rates; discipline rates and graduation rates.
The Facility Committee is charged with supporting the Board of Education decision making process regarding District facility planning and usage.
The purpose of the Finance Committee is to provide transparency to the community on the District’s financial position and financial planning. The finance committee is not an oversight committee, but may act in an advisory capacity.
The goals of the Parent Advocacy Committee are:
- By the end of March 2013, to have a set of thoroughly explored/researched committee recommendations relating to parent advocacy initiatives for Champaign Unit 4 to engage for the 2013-2014 school year.
- For the Parent Advocacy Committee to represent/engage a variety of stakeholders relevant to the topic.
The Promises Made Promises Kept Committee was formed to ensure that the promises made by the Board of Education prior to the vote on the 1% sales tax increase were kept by the School District. The Committee completes this task quarterly by evaluating the expenditures made with sales tax proceeds.
The Social Justice Seminar is a vehicle by which we can work together to systemically improve our school district’s ability to support student learning through the lens of social justice.
As Unit 4 prepares to enter the eighth year of its intergovernmental agreement to provide School Resource Officers through the Champaign Police Department, the District administration would like to conduct an evaluation of the program.
The charge of this committee is to identify needs for capacity and programming at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
