Board Credit - General Information
How can I offer a Board Credit Course?
If you have an interest in offering a course for board credit, complete a Board Credit Course proposal form and send it to Justin Lopez at firstname.lastname@example.org. Board Credit Courses are approved throughout the year, as appropriate by the Staff Development Committee. Each course must have a minimum enrollment of 15 for classes to proceed or "go". Courses where there is no cost for the instructor may seek approval to proceed with less than 15 participants. Courses with close to 15 participants may seek approval to proceed from Dr. Laura Taylor at 217-351-3702.
How can I make sure I get credit for a Board Credit Course?
To receive Board Credit, the course must be approved for Board Credit and individuals must complete form SDF: 2.
How can I take a workshop or course not approved by the District and still get Board Credit?
If you are planning on taking a workshop or course that has not been approved for Board Credit, you must complete form SDF:3 and submit for PRIOR approval to the District Professional Development Committee by sending the completed form to Justin Lopez at email@example.com.
