In observation of National Hispanic Heritage Month there are a number of activities taking place around the District to celebrate Hispanic/Latino culture and history.

Unit 4’s Marc Changnon Honored as Illinois Public Media 2015 American Graduate Champion

Marc Changnon, District Coordinator for Career Programs & Community Partnerships, has been selected as one of three American Graduate Champions by Illinois Public Media. 

According to Illinois Public Media, American Graduate Champions commit their time, skills and resources to make sure that young people succeed. He or she is an individual who plays an active role in improving educational outcomes for students.

Centennial Author Visit - This Friday, September 25

This Friday, author Jac Jemc will be hosting a writing workshop with approximately 50 Centennial students.  Her visit is sponsored in part by the Creative Writing Department at UIUC and the Pygmalion Literary Festival. 

Unit 4 to Host Dedication of Renovated Kenwood Elementary School

Champaign Unit 4 School District will host a dedication ceremony for the newly renovated Kenwood Elementary School on October 15 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the school. The community is invited to attend this event and celebrate alongside the Board of Education and District leaders, as well as Kenwood staff, families, students, and alumni.  

Champaign School Board Approves New Assistant Director of Facilities

At its Monday meeting, the Champaign Board of Education unanimously approved Mr. Richard McQueen as the new Assistant Director of Facilities.
