National African-American Parent Involvement Day - February 8, 2016

On Monday, February 8, 2016, each of Champaign Unit 4 School District’s nineteen campuses will celebrate National African-American Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID) as part of a month-long observance of Black History Month.

Kenwood Teachers Collaborating with U of I to Integrate CS Curriculum with Math

Kenwood Elementary School faculty members are working with our partners at the University of Illinois College of Education to integrate computer science into core subjects like math, providing broad student exposure to computing. The project has garnered $1.2 million in funding from the National Science Foundation STEM+C initiative.

New French-English Dual Language Kindergarten Classroom Coming to Stratton Academy of the Arts

Next fall, Stratton Academy of the Arts will host a new program option for incoming kindergarten families: a French-English Dual Language classroom. 

Board of Education to Hold Public Interviews for Vacant Board Position

 The Board of Education will interview eight candidates next Monday to select its newest member. Interviews will be held February 1, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Mellon Administrative Center. 
The individual selected will serve until April 2017, fulfilling the remainder of member Laurie Bonnet’s term. Bonnet announced her resignation earlier this month.
