Unit 4 Hires Director of Student, Family and Community Engagement

Ms. Wilcher began her career in 1991 as an Assistant Detention Officer for the Champaign County Youth Detention Center. In the years that followed, Ms. Wilcher maintained a high level of community involvement holding positions including Research Assistant for Harvard University School of Public Health, Caseworker for The Office of the Public Guardian, and Family Support Clinician for Provena Behavioral Health at Centerpoint.

Celebrating a New Transportation Building

The Transportation team at Unit 4 has been breaking in their new building since May. But, on September 6, we "officially" celebrated with a ribbon cutting.

Thank you to our Board of Education, past and present, construction team and our community partners for realizing our need and helping us reach our goal of building a new facility.

Monday, August 21 Central Will Dismiss Early

Due to the projected forecast for tomorrow's temperature, Champaign Central High School will dismiss at 1:05 pm. tomorrow, August 21, 2017. Athletic and band practice schedules will follow high-heat guidelines.  Coaches and directors will communicate with participants about any changes to their schedules. Yellow buses and MTD will be available for bus riders.  

Board of Education Approves Alison Hampton, Dr. Howard Assistant Principal

Ms. Alison Hampton was selected as the Assistant Principal of Dr. Howard Elementary.

Central and Centennial Graduates Recognized for Biliteracy

Congratulations to the Central and Centennial graduates who received the State Seal of Biliteracy for their work in the 2016/2017 school year. The State Seal of Biliteracy recognizes students who achieve a score of 4 or better on the AP exam for his or her target language and at least a score of 21 on the ACT. Congratulations to these students for receiving this incredible honor.
