Two Centennial Track Athletes Qualify For State

Two members of the Centennial boys track team will be competing at the state meet next weekend in Charleston, IL.

Henoc Mondika qualified in the 400 meter dash. Henoc and his family moved to Champaign from the Congo in September of 2015. He didnt speak any English and had never been part of any organized sport. Henoc is such a hard-worker and is so very deserving of the opportunity to compete among the state's best.

Those Who Teach, Can - May 20

Champaign Unit 4 Art Teachers are displaying their personal artworks in the annual exhibition, “Those Who Teach, Can," at 40 Point One art space from May 20 through August 11. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, May 20, from 5-9 p.m. at the gallery. A group of accomplished art teachers set out to dispel a common myth about the abilities of teachers with their show, “Those Who Teach, Can”.

South Side Students "Bring The Change" for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

During the week of April 24th-28th South Side Elementary students participated in a fundraiser called "Bring The Change" for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This year students brought the change in honor of the Assistant Principal's neice who has leukemia.

Three Unit 4 Teachers selected as Napleton's Teacher of the Year!

The “First Annual” Napleton’s Teacher of the Year Celebration took place Wednesday, May 10th.  Napleton’s Auto Park of Urbana sponsored the award and the reception at Pear Tree Estate.  Three teachers (one elementary; one middle school; one high school) from Champaign Unit 4 School District were chosen based on nominations submitted by students and will receive a prize of $1,000 each.
