Learning more about ALICE Drills: ALICE training for parents

The safety and well-being of our students remain a top priority for the District. Part of keeping our students safe involves holding safety drills throughout the school year so our students will be prepared in the event an emergency occurs.

New state legislation (Public Act 100-0996) mandates that students present at school participate in one active shooter drill each year.

New Address for South Side Elementary

After renovations, including a new entrance, South Side Elementary has a new address. It is now located at 715 S. New Street, Champaign.

Mark your calendar: Family Job Fair

Champaign Unit 4 Schools is hosting a Family Job Fair for parents, guardians and families of Unit 4 students on Thurs., Jan. 30 from 4-7 p.m. at the Mellon Building located at 703 S. New St. 

High school teams qualify for IHSA Team Academic Achievement Award

After first semster grades have been calculated, several high school teams have qualified for the IHSA Team Academic Achievement Award. The award recognizes varsity teams that maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher throughout their respective seasons. The program is designed to reward teamwork not only in competition, but in the classroom as well.

Moving forward after decision not to switch Garden HIlls and IPA campuses

After input from various stakeholders and two community listening sessions, the discussions surrounding switching students/staff of Garden Hills and International Prep Academy have been discontinued.
