Unit 4 Board of Education President Chris Kloeppel and Jefferson Middle School Principal Angi Franklin have been named as two of Central Illinois Business Magazine’s Forty Under 40. Ms. Franklin has been selected as the program’s Woman of the Year and will give remarks at an awards luncheon on October 6 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign.

The awards recognize young professionals for their achievements in their careers, leadership ability and dedication to community service.

“Ms. Franklin and Mr. Kloeppel give tirelessly to the children and families in our District,” said Superintendent Dr. Judy Wiegand. "Ms. Franklin has built and leads an incredible team of professionals at Jefferson Middle School and brings the spirit of collaboration to every situation. Mr. Kloeppel volunteers countless hours as our Board of Education President, using his position as a leader to build bridges within the community and make critical decisions that support our educational mission for generations to come. We are incredibly fortunate to have them both as part of our Unit 4 team.”

The magazine will publish profiles of the award winners in its October issue. The magazine, which is a publication of the Champaign-Urbana News-Gazette, solicited nominations from the community, and winners were selected by a panel of judges.
