The Centennial High School and Jefferson Middle School archery teams earned some bragging rights at this year's NASP Championship Tournament held in Nashville, Tenn. on July 25-27.

Approximately 2,500 archers competed in 50 teams in three divisions. Those divisions span elementary, middle school and high school.

Two teams from Jefferson qualified for the Championship Tournament. Those teams placed 2nd and 22nd out of 50 middle school teams. The Centennial Chargers placed 13th out of 38 High School teams. From that team, Haley Good was the top shooter, not only did she end up with a personal record, but she placed sixth out of 417 female high school students who competed.

Centennial's Maria Heller was part of the Team USA all-star team, competing against multiple countries. She was one of 18 archers selected for this honor. Maria was not only the top overall female of the all-star team, but she also won a $2,500 scholarship.
