Registration Information Update

Incoming 2020-21 kindergarten students registered during the Schools of Choice process will be notified of their school assignment by mail in late May.

The registration period for new students to the District is May 1 - June 12, 2020.  Parents must show current or impending residency in the form of two of the following:  

  • Driver's License or State ID
  • Voter's Registration Card
  • Lease or Mortgage documents
  • Current month's power, water, internet or cable bill

Forms may be emailed to or faxed to (217) 373-7315 until the current state mandates allow the District’s registration center to reopen to the public. 

New District students will be notified of their school assignment in late June.  Students arriving after June 12 may register upon arrival to the community. Assignments for students registering after June 12 will be made during the summer and prior to the start of the school year.

At this time, transfers between schools for current District students will not be addressed unless extenuating circumstances exist relating to safety, physical needs, or siblings. Questions about the process may be directed to the Choice Office by calling (217) 373-7311.
