Board of Education Announces Pair of Appointments Monday

The Champaign Unit 4 School District announced approval of a pair of appointments during its Board of Education meeting Monday night.

Jake Elliott Named Assistant Principal at Centennial HS
Elliott assumes the role of Assistant Principal at Centennial High School after serving as Dean of Students & District Activities Director at Sangamon Valley High School in Niantic, Ill. He began his career in 2012 as a Physical Education & Health Teacher with J.W. Eater Junior High School in Rantoul. Elliott spent a year as Physical Education, Health and Driver Education Teacher at Pavilion Foundation School in Champaign before moving into the role of Physical Education Teacher at Lincoln Elementary School in Monticello. After five years in that role and two as Driver Education Teacher at Monticello High School, Elliott moved to Sangamon Valley. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2012). Elliott obtained his teaching licensure with a certification in Physical Education K-12 with an endorsement in Health 5-12 before adding an additional teaching endorsement in Safety & Driver Education from Eastern Illinois (2015). In May, Elliott earned his Master of Education in Policy, Organization, and Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The effective date of his appointment was Aug. 31, 2020.

Sabrina Hull Named Assistant Director for Kids Plus
Hull moves into the position of Assistant Director for Kids Plus after previously serving as Director of Hourly & Daily SCL Services with RISE, Ltd., in Oelwein, Iowa. Hull spent two years as the Student Success Liasion/McKinney-Vento Liasion for a high school in Renton, Wash., from 2016-18. Following a relocation to Iowa, she worked as a Registrar Support Specialist with Wartbury College in Waverly, Iowa, for one year. Hull holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Community Leadership and Civic Engagement from Northern Illinois University (2015). The effective date of her appointment in Sept. 15, 2020.
