Permanent Principals Named at Jefferson, Franklin, and the Novak Academy

Champaign Unit 4 School District is pleased to announce that permanent principals have been named at Jefferson Middle School, Franklin Middle School, and the Novak Academy. Appointments were approved at Monday night’s Board of Education meeting and are effective July 1, 2013.

Science Fair at Jefferson to Focus on Green Building Features

On November 7, US Green Building Council Students (USGBC Students) from the University of Illinois will host a science fair at Jefferson Middle School to help educate students about the green technologies in their school.

Four from Champaign Schools to Be Honored at Those Who Excel Awards

Champaign Unit 4 Schools is pleased to announce that ISBE has named four from the District in their annual Those Who Excel awards, including a finalist for Teacher of the Year.  These staff members and volunteer will receive Those Who Excel awards at a banquet in their honor on Saturday, October 20 at the Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel and will also be recognized at the October 15 Board of Education meeting.

Jefferson Teacher Named as Finalist for Teacher of the Year Award

Champaign Unit 4 School District is pleased to announce that Jefferson Middle School social studies teacher Christine Adrian is one of nine finalists for the 2012-13 Illinois Teacher of the Year award, a program of the Illinois State Board of Education. The Teacher of the Year finalists are selected from nominees through the State Board of Education’s Those Who Excel educator recognition program.
