Unit 4 Refines Weather Procedures to Reflect Population/Infrastructure Changes

The Champaign Unit 4 Department of Transportation Department and administration have reviewed Emergency Closing Procedures and made changes to the areas that will receive bus service when weather conditions require reduced service.

Culver to sign with Winona State

Central High School Senior Alexander Culver will sign a letter of intent on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Central High School Conference Room to accept a full scholarship to play basketball for the Winona State Warriors in Winona, Minnesota. Winona State is the defending NCAA Division II Basketball Champion. They were also the Division II National Champions in 2006 and the runner-up for the championship in 2007.

Champaign Wal-Mart Honors Bottenfield Teacher With Teacher Of The Year Award

For the third year in a row a Champaign Unit # 4 local educator has been recognized by the Wal-Mart Corporation for excellence in education. Renayee Westfield, a fifth-year teacher at Bottenfield Elementary School in Champaign was recently named the 2008 Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year by the Champaign Wal-Mart Center.
