Champaign Schools Earn 10 Illinois Honor Roll Awards for Student Achievement

The Illinois State Board of Education has announced the 2006 Honor Roll awards, and Champaign Unit 4 schools have earned 10 awards. Five schools have earned Spotlight School Awards, and five schools have earned Academic Improvement Awards. This is an increase from four awards in 2005.

Health Alliance Makes Technology Donation to Bottenfield

Champaign Unit #4 Schools is proud to announce a $3,400 donation for classroom technology to Bottenfield Elementary School from Health Alliance.  Health Alliance is donating funds for a Smartboard classroom – a mounted digital projector, digital scanner, and a “Smartboard” (Interactive Whiteboard).  This technology will enhance the implementation of the Champaign Unit #4 Health Curriculum to elementary students at Bottenfield. 

Champaign Unit 4 Schools Release Student Achievement Results

All elementary schools, with the exception of Robeson, and all three middle schools in Champaign Unit 4 made AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) as defined by the Illinois State Board of Education and required by the NCLB (No Child Left Behind) federal mandates.  Both Centennial and Central High Schools, as well as Robeson, exceeded the AYP target for the category of All Students, but missed the state standard because of the scores of one
