Boiler Repair Alters Dr. Howard’s Wednesday Schedule

School will not be held as scheduled Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Dr. Howard to allow for repair of the school’s boiler.

Families who wish to keep students at home for the day are encouraged to do so.  Students will not be penalized for non-attendance.  

Dr. Howard relocating to Stratton Academy for Tuesday, Dec. 17

Champaign Unit 4 was made aware of a boiler issue at Dr. Howard. Out of an abundance of caution, the District shut down the boiler and staff and students were relocated to the gymnasium at Stratton Academy (902 N. Randolph in Champaign).

Reduced Bus Service Dec. 16, 2019

Monday, Dec. 16, the Champaign Unit 4 School District will have reduced bus services. There will be no yellow school buses
operating morning or afternoon for elementary or secondary students living in the areas listed immediately
below.

Unit 4 students selected for the IMEA All-State Ensembles

Champaign Unit 4 is pleased to announce 19 students (six from Centennial and thirteen from Central) have been selected for the Illinois Music Education Association All-State Ensembles to take place in Peoria in January, 2020. Students must be nominated and also audition for this honor. The annual performance falls during the Illinois Music Education Conference.

Board of Education Confirms Administrative Appointment

Champaign Unit 4 School District announced one administrative appointment at its Board of Education meeting Monday night.
