The Champaign Unit 4 School District announced approval of an administrative appointment during its Board of Education meeting Tuesday night.

Stacey Moore Named Chief Communications Officer
Moore was appointed as Chief Communications Officer after 26 years in the public relations field, including the past eight years as Communications Coordinator at Avon (Ind.) Community School Corporation. Prior to her work in Indiana, Moore spent two years as Public Relations Coordinator at Kennesaw (Ga.) State University and four years as the Public Relations Director for the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. Moore also held positions as Public Relations Specialist with the National PTA for six years and in Illinois, as a Research Project Coordinator at Illinois State University and an Academic Advisor at Heartland Community College. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications, with a minor in Journalism, from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Moore is an active member of the National School Public Relations Association where she served as a Chapter Board Member, Chapter President, and Chapter Vice President.
