Superintendent Search

Superintendent Search: Two community meetings planned to gather input on Unit 4's next Supt.
Posted on 09/10/2020

The Champaign Board of Education recognizes that selecting a superintendent is one of its most essential functions. Therefore, the Board is interested in gaining input from parents, staff, high school students, and community constituents of the school district before selecting that individual.

The Board selected the firm of Ray and Associates to search for our next superintendent. As part of this search process, the Board would like your participation in a community meeting with the search consultant/coordinator to get your thoughts and ideas regarding the qualities you would like to see in your next superintendent. The meeting will include prepared questions as well as an opportunity for open dialogue. The Board truly values your input and looks forward to your participation.

Two community meetings have been scheduled:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. in the gym at Booker T. Washington
  • Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. in the gym at Garden Hills Academy

There will be a 50 person limit due to state mandated restrictions. Masks are required.
