Committees

Board Policy Committee (Board of Education Committee)

The Policy Committee is a Board designated committee with a goal of ensuring the Champaign Unit 4 School District has policies in place to guide the operation of the District in a legal and ethical manner.

Choice Committee

The Choice Committee meets to review various aspects of the Choice process including but not limited to the registration process, student assignments criteria, transfer requests, and marketing strategies. The Committee may discuss both procedural and policy changes as a part of the work of this task force.

Discipline Advisory Committee (DAC) (Board of Education Committee)

Acts in an advisory capacity to reduce unwarranted racial disparities in the area of school discipline and revises the upcoming year's Student Code of Conduct.

Education Equity Excellence Committee (Board of Education Committee)

The purpose of EEE is to review and discuss the following equity areas, including data disaggregated by race/ethnicity and SES: academic progress of regular education, special education, gifted, AP/Honors, Novak Academy and alternative students; attendance rates; discipline rates and graduation rates. 

Finance Committee (Board of Education Committee)

The Finance Committee is charged to advance the broader interests of community/stakeholder awareness and organizational transparency while simultaneously providing opportunity for informed, representative feedback.

Referendum Oversight Committee (Board of Education Committee)

The Referendum Oversight Committee is made up of six community members who will provide insight and guidance on the six capital projects made possible by the $183.4 million referendum passed on November 8, 2016.  

Staff Development Committee

Members provide input in the development of systems to ensure that Unit 4 provides a comprehensive, high quality professional development program.
