A group of Unit 4 student-athletes participated in the Special Olympics Bowling Regional event. Darris Horton (Centennial), Maxwell Morgan (Franklin Academy), and Rory Gordon (Franklin Academy) all won Gold medals, while Tyrese Hilson (YAP) earned a Silver medal. Darris and Tyrese also teamed up to win more Gold in the team event, and Rory picked up an additional Gold medal in the doubles competition.
The students bowled with courage, joy, and determination. Now they’re headed to the State Tournament in October, where we all will be rooting them on!
