BTS Bash

August 8, 2025

Dear Kenwood Families,

Happy Friday!  It was wonderful to meet our new families and get reacquainted with our returning Kenwood families last night. Thank you to all who were able to attend our Back to School Bash last night. We had an amazing turn out and our staff were excited to meet our families. Our community partner, Meadowbrook Church, was an important part of our Back to School Bash as they provided volunteers to help with the carnival games, inflatables and pizza. We look forward to the start of the 2025-26 school year. We look forward to welcoming our students back next week. Just as a reminder here is the schedule for next week:

Tuesday, August 12 - First day of school for students in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Parent conferences for Kindergarten students.

Wednesday, August 13 - First day of school for half of our Kindergarten students.

Thursday, August 14 - First day of school for the second half of our Kindergarten students.

Friday, August 15 - All students in attendance

Arrival and Dismissal: Car Riders

Our car riders will drop off and pick up in front of the school in the circle drive on Stratford Drive. We ask that you remain in your vehicle in the circle drive as this slows down our drop off line and can create a safety concern. Staff supervision begins at 7:40am and students are not supervised prior to this time so we ask that you remain with your children until this time. During our pick up process, staff members will be stationed at the end of the circle drive to safely load your students. Please be sure to follow the cues of our staff to help with safely loading our students. The North parking lot is for bus riders only.

Same-Day Transportation Changes and Early Check-Outs:

Any same-day transportation changes for your child must be called in to the Kenwood Office before 1:00 p.m.  This allows time to communicate the message so that all parties can communicate the correct dismissal location.  We respectfully ask parents to keep early check-outs for appointments to a minimum as they cause disruptions to learning.

Upon dismissal, students will exit the building.  Parents may pick up their child at that time.  Please do not enter the building before the bell rings unless you’ve notified the office with a valid reason for doing so.

Kenwood Parent Handbook

Please take a moment to review our Kenwood Parent Handbook. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher or the office.

Sincerely,

Dr. Nadrozny
