Dear Kenwood Families,
Happy Friday! This has been another busy week at Kenwood! On Tuesday, our 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students attended the Illinois Women’s Basketball Game where we cheered the Illini to victory. Students enjoyed the atmosphere with over 14,000 spectators composed of students, teachers and parents from Champaign, Urbana, and surrounding districts. Students were particularly enthusiastic as the Illini scored 67 points. Teachers and parents may have been a little less enthusiastic about that score particularly as it was followed by a time out. Thank you to all of our chaperones and staff who attended the game. Yesterday, we celebrated our MLL International Thanksgiving Feast organized by Mrs. Shungu and Mrs. Markus. This was a wonderful celebration of the diversity of families and food items from around the world. It was a wonderful evening of fellowship and food.
As we head into the Thanksgiving break next Wednesday I want to wish you a restful and relaxing break with your families. We are thankful for our Kenwood families. Have a great weekend!
