Assessment - Multilingual Services
Our Multilingual Department uses WIDA instructional and assessment tools for our students. Their model has 6 levels of language proficiency, which are described in the table below.
Generally speaking, we would expect a student that came to us at Level 1 (Entering) to take about 3-5 years to reach full proficiency. However, as with any kind of learning, there are students that reach proficiency at a slower pace and those that do it at a faster pace.
Our program is designed to accommodate learners at all stages of their development.
