Cases are based on positive result notifications from employee/student/family/IDPH/LDPH that occurred during the previous Monday-Sunday.
Quarantine numbers are based off of official quarantines by IDPH or an LPHD during the previous Monday-Sunday.
An individual testing positive or being required to quarantine does not mean they were exposed at school. In the interest of transparency, however, the District is reporting all positive tests of individuals in quarantine regardless of the source.
November 2020 totals include anyone who is currently working in/attending an elementary school or Support Center in person or any employee who is directly supporting those schools or Support Center students/families. Substitute staff are not included.
Numbers reported on November 30, 2020 reflect students and staff members who were new cases or newly quarantined during the last week of in-person learning (the week of November 15, 2020) but were not previously counted in District data because of lag time with official notifications and the Thanksgiving Break.
Totals beginning January 2021 include anyone who is currently working in/attending an elementary school in person or participating in a secondary school in person class or athletics event at least one day during the week. Staff members who are directly supporting schools, students, or families are also included. Substitute staff are not included.
There were approximately 860 non-substitute staff members working directly with students in person at District campuses or directly supporting elementary school and Support Center students and families for at least a portion of their work day (as of 11/06/20).
There were 1,671 students enrolled in in-person instruction (as of 11/06/20).
There were approximately 1,588 non-substitute staff members working directly with students in person at District campuses or directly supporting schools, students, or families for at least a portion of their work day (as of 02/02/21).
There were 1,735 elementary students enrolled in in-person instruction and 4,991 secondary students eligible to participate in in-person classes or athletics (as of 02/02/21).
There were approximately 1,796 non-substitute staff members employed by the District (as of 08/02/21).
There were approximately 10,275 students enrolled in the District (as of 08/03/21).
Student data reported on August 23, 2021 reflects all students quarantined or isolated for the prior week, including those who never came to school at the start of the year. With students who never reported to school removed from the data, there were 10 positive cases and 22 students quarantined. In the interest of transparency, the District is including the larger of the two numbers in the main data section.
