At the February 12th Unit 4 Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the appointment of Mr. Kurt Harshbarger as the Director of Custodial Services and Grounds.
Mr. Harshbarger worked as the Planning and Paratransit Coordinator with Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (CU-MTD) (1999-2008). In October 2009, he joined The Kraft-Heinz Company where he has served for the past 14 years. During this time, Mr. Harshbarger has worked as the Distribution/Receiving Supervisor and most recently a Materials Planner in the Materials Management Department. His position at CU-MTD and one position at Kraft have been supervisory in nature. He will leave Kraft to join Unit 4 Schools.
Mr. Harshbarger earned an Associates of Science in Business Management (2008) and an Associates of Science in Marketing Management (2008), both from Parkland College. He also served in the United States Army (1994-1998) as a Logistics Specialist.
