During its March 9th meeting, the Unit 4 Board of Education appointed Dustin Franckey as the Director of IT Infrastructure.
Mr. Franckey began his career in the technology field in April 2008 when he joined U.S. Cellular as a Network Field Engineer. In that role, he oversaw the building and maintenance of a cellular network providing reliable coverage throughout Illinois. In November 2014, Mr. Franckey joined Paxton-Buckley-Loda CUSD 10 as Director of Technology. There, he has been responsible for network infrastructure; security, compliance, and disaster recovery; maintenance of district equipment across multiple sites; and purchasing and vendor relations. Since 2015, Mr. Franckey has also independently provided IT consulting services to small business and residential clients.
In addition to his work in IT, Mr. Franckey has served as a Cross Country and Track & Field Head Coach for over a decade.
He will begin on March 16, 2026.
