Champaign Unit 4 School District

During its March 23rd meeting, the Unit 4 Board of Education appointed Joanne Schnelle as the Principal at Robeson Elementary.

Ms. Schnelle has been serving as Interim Principal of Robeson Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year. She joined Unit 4 Schools in August 2013, when she was hired as an English/Language Arts Teacher at Jefferson Middle School, and later accepted her first school administrator role as Assistant Principal of Robeson Elementary beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. Prior to joining the District, she served as a 4th Grade Teacher at Danville School District #118 beginning August 2008.

Ms. Schnelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (2008), and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership (2013) both from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL.
