Champaign Unit 4 Schools is launching a Listen & Learn Community Tour as part of Superintendent Dr. Geovanny Ponce’s 100-Day Transition Plan, creating opportunities for families, students, staff and community members to connect directly with the District’s new leadership and share their perspectives on important topics impacting Unit 4 schools.
The tour reflects Dr. Ponce’s commitment to beginning his tenure by listening to the people who know Unit 4 and the Champaign community best. Each session will provide an opportunity for community members to meet Dr. Ponce, ask questions, share experiences and discuss their hopes, priorities and concerns for the District.
“Building trust starts with listening,” Dr. Ponce said. “I want to hear directly from our students, families, staff and community members about what is working well, where we can improve and what they believe our priorities should be. These conversations will help inform our work as we move forward together, always keeping students at the center of our decisions.”
The Listen & Learn Tour will include eight community meetings at schools and community locations throughout Champaign. All community members are invited to attend.
