Robeson students gathered today with guest author, Candace Fleming, to speak about her creative process, picking up "story seeds" wherever she goes. She even shared photos from her trip to the rainforests of Borneo which brought about the inspiration for her book "Oh, No!".

Today, student artists met with retired Franklin teacher, Suzanne Berkes to dedicate a new mosaic at their student entrance. The mosaic incorporates the different languages spoken by students across the district. The frame was made using leftover tiles from the outdoor mosaic.






Incoming Kindergarten families, the registration window is closing soon! To help you meet the May 1st deadline, registration will be available for extended hours tomorrow, from 7am to 7pm. Registration will be at the Mellon Building (703 S. New Street, Champaign).

Today was Stratton’s 3rd-grade showcase. The theme of this showcase was Environments and Survival. This showcase was about how different things must survive differently, depending on their environments. Different living species in our solar system can adapt and survive based on their environment.
Students also studied and created ceramic snails to demonstrate their environment and survival techniques.








On Tuesday, April 9th C-U One-to-One mentees and their mentors took a tour of the Technology Center at Parkland, visiting the auto shop, welding shop, and lathe shop before learning about Dual Credit at Parkland and Parkland Pathways. Some mentees shadowed their mentor at their job for several hours.
